After installing Windows 10 (former Windows 7) my Scanner 'CanoScan 8800F' works without Problem.I already had the install file saved - I don't think it's hard to find on the web. As it turned out, it was quite easy - here's how I did it: Download Canoscan Toolbox 4.9 software. I thought I'd struggle with installing my Canoscan 8400F under Windows 10, remembering what a faff it was getting it to work under Windows 8.1.The SilverFast SE Archive Suite contains additionally to the SilverFast SE Plus software the SilverFast HDR software, so that you can create raw scans which you can process afterwards. An additional feature of the SE Plus version is the automatic frame adjustment this has the big advantage, that you don't have to position the originals on the glass surface of the scanner exactly, i.e. More information about that function you can find on our SilverFast FAQ-site under. This partly leads to a significant increase of the image quality of the scans. Multi-exposure means that a photo is scanned with different exposures and that an optimal image is computed from the different scans. The essential difference between the SE and the SE Plus version is the multi-exposure function of the SE-Plus version. Please, choose above, below the price information, between the SilverFast version SE, SE Plus and SE Archive Suite, or without SilverFast. With the SilverFast scan software you get a much better scan software and a significant increase in the image quality. When scanning negatives and slides the image quality is rather bad using the Canon own scan software and the scanner is very slow. The scanner provides a very good image quality when scanning documents and is very fast.
In the cover plate there is a transparency unit integrated, so that the scanner is suitable both for scanning documents and for digitizing slides and negatives. The Canon CanoScan 9000f Mark II is the top model of Canon flatbed scanners. Also, run the x32 (not 圆4) version of VueScan with these drivers. This scanner is supported on Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and later if you first install the Canon drivers for Mac OS X 10.6 or later (these will work on newer versions of Mac OS X). On Windows 圆4, you need to use VueScan 圆4 to use this scanner's transparency adapter.
